Nora Randall

Born in the United States, Nora Randall immigrated to Canada during the Vietnam War. She edited Vancouver’s Pedastal, a women’s liberation newspaper that was reorganized briefly in 1975 as a lesbian feminist paper. Founder of the theatre group Random Acts, she wrote the parody "Fairy Princess and the Princess Fool" to celebrate women’s sexuality. Staged during the 1990 Gay Games, it was a major undertaking and huge theatrical success for Vancouver's lesbian community.
